SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., is the home of two teams — the Los Angeles Rams and the L.A. Chargers — but was built and funded by Rams owner Stan Kroenke and owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment.

The $5 billion stadium is a rarity in the NFL in part because Kroenke funded it without using taxpayer money. It also opened in 2020, when stadiums were closed to fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so Rams players experienced it for the first time in relative silence. It is an open-sided, curved structure with a roof that manages temperature, and a circular suspended video board that spans nearly the length of the field.
The Rams won Super Bowl LVI in 2022 (concluding the 2021 season) in SoFi Stadium, with Los Angeles as the host city.
The Athletic has compiled 32 stadium guides, one for each NFL team, to give fans vital information about the game day experience. We’ve also asked readers to weigh in on the best food, beer and tailgate options at each stadium, among other things, to help football fans enjoy their visit.
Insider tips
2024 must-watch game at stadium: vs. Buffalo Bills, Dec. 8
How about this marquee NFC vs. AFC showdown in Week 14? Two elite QBs in Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen. In our latest Power Rankings, the Bills are No. 9 and the Rams are 11th. Both made the playoffs last season and both are looking to take another step toward in 2024.
Fan tradition to know: ‘Whose House? Rams House!’
The Rams have a simple call-and-response chant repeated frequently through the game with encouragement from stadium announcer Sam Lagana: “Whose House? Rams House!”
Jourdan Rodrigue’s favorite thing
It’s selfish, but my favorite thing about SoFi Stadium is that the lighting, natural beachy environment blending with the architecture and all of the high-definition video equipment make you feel as though you’re stepping into a video game when you enter the main concourse or take the field. I also love that there are refillable water bottle stations throughout the concourses.

The Athletic’s stadium ranking: 2
Jon Machota ranked all 30 NFL stadiums in August 2023 and this is what he said about SoFi Stadium:
Similar to U.S. Bank Stadium, this venue also has a transparent roof, allowing for an outdoor feel in an indoor stadium. It received seven first-place votes. It’s not a surprise to see one of the NFL’s newest stadiums rank so highly. One of its best features is the double-sided video board that hangs from the ceiling, circling around the entire field.

Fans’ game day advice
The Athletic surveyed NFL fans for their feedback on the following questions:
What is the ‘best bang for your buck’ seating section?
Probably 400 level. It’s high up but still a pretty good view of the action and puts you level with the incredible Oculus screen. Sometimes for an absolute bargain they sell standing room tickets for 400 level and if you get there early you can snag a spot midfield with a railing that has a shelf to place your food and drink. — Arik K.
The 200 section in the end zones is probably the best value section and I’ve found I can score some good resale tickets in these areas. — Tom H.
Got to be C114. You’re just close enough to the action without the giant price tag, and the gates to get there are really easy to navigate. — Dylan S.
What’s the can’t-miss food?
My son loves the tater tots and chicken strips and I always get the pastrami cheese fries on the 200 level. — Angel S.
I finally had the stromboli dog and it was amazing! Trust me, you don’t want to miss out. — Derek K.
What’s the best beer option?
I go to the upper deck and go to the bar up there to get a Modelo. — Derek K.

Where is the best spot to take a photo?
From the lake outside to the Rams signage all around and inside the stadium. — J. Henry T.
Right by the Super Bowl banners. — Derek K.
What are the kid-friendly activities/options at the stadium?
A play area is located in Upper American Airlines Plaza called Rams Land. The team’s mascot, Rampage, is usually on site about 15 minutes after the gates open on game days.

Where is the best place to tailgate?
Tailgating in the Pink parking lot is the only option. Getting parking is expensive and difficult, but the tailgates are fun. There is an all-you-can-eat/drink option at Hollywood Park. — J. Henry T.
